The water is a simple onsen, gentle even on a baby's skin, drawn in part from Kita Onsen and then heated and recirculated; it leaves you warm and slow to cool down afterward. Families and groups can bathe as often as they like without worrying about other guests. There is no reservation system - if a bath is free, you are welcome to use it. Day-use bathing is not available.

The owner, a mountain man, cooks Japanese-Western dishes he is proud of for both flavor and portion size. Pie dishes such as quiche lorraine, as well as kinpira (a sauteed vegetable dish), are popular, as are the homemade desserts, including chocolate souffle and caramel mousse. For guests who prefer Japanese food, there is also a menu built around simmered vegetables. Coffee and tea come with free refills. After dinner there is a get-together with singing games and other games, and you can try the violin if you would like to.
Rooms
There are 8 rooms in all: Japanese-style tatami rooms, Japanese-Western rooms and Western-style rooms. Six of them have a bath and toilet, and 4 of those 6 have a bidet toilet with a heated seat. Because there are tatami rooms as well, the layout works well for families with a baby at the crawling stage.
