Rooms
All 19 rooms are ocean-side rooms looking out over Ise Bay. There are ocean-side Japanese-style tatami rooms of 10 to 12 tatami mats with a bath and toilet, in non-smoking and smoking types, as well as ocean-side Western-style twin rooms with a view of Ise Bay. The non-smoking tatami rooms take 2 to 5 guests and the smoking tatami rooms 2 to 4, so they work for family stays. The Western-style twin rooms sleep 2, but if you would like to stay there with a child, ask the ryokan: they may be able to add a simple extra bed or allow co-sleeping, in which case a child rate or similar charge may be added. Rooms come with a refrigerator, hair dryer, humidifier, individually controlled air conditioning and a toilet with a bidet function.

Baths and Onsen
The communal bath draws on Ume-no-Yu, a natural onsen from the ryokan's own source. The water rises from 1,300 m underground and is a sodium chloride strong salt spring, said to have a variety of benefits, including recovery from fatigue, sensitivity to cold, neuralgia and joint pain. Staying guests can bathe free of charge, from check-in until midnight and again from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. the next morning. Bring the bath towels and towels provided in your room with you. The onsen is reached along the connecting passage on the second floor.

Access
From Meitetsu Kowa Station, take the Umikko Bus and get off at the Araiso bus stop; the ryokan is right there. There is also a free shuttle bus between Kowa Station and Maruha Shokudo Ryokan: for overnight guests it leaves Kowa Station at 3:40 p.m. and leaves the ryokan at 9:20 a.m. the next morning, and reservations are required. Parking has about 200 spaces, free of charge and with no reservation needed. Swimming is not allowed on the beach directly in front, but you can swim at Sankai Beach, about 15 minutes away by car, or Utsumi Beach, about 20 minutes away by car. Check-in is from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and checkout is at 9:30 a.m.
