Sanco Inn Grande Nagoya -HOTEL & SPA- is a business hotel an 8-minute walk from Nagoya Station, easy to reach thanks to its direct link to the Unimall underground shopping mall. Every room has a separate bath, toilet and washbasin, and rooms on the 9th floor and above look out over the Nagoya cityscape. There are communal baths for staying guests only, filled with artificial Komyoseki hot-spring water, and children who have not yet started elementary school co-sleep free of charge. A barrier-free Universal Room is also available, with a roomy washroom that makes it easy to use with young children.
Rooms
All guest rooms are non-smoking and located on the 9th floor and above. The bath, toilet and washbasin are separate, and every room has individual climate control and an air purifier with a humidifying function. The Standard Room is 15.36 sq m with one 140 cm-wide bed, while the Double Room has one 160 cm-wide queen-size bed, making it suitable for couples and families. The Twin Room -City View- is 23 sq m with two 110 cm-wide beds and takes from 1 up to 4 guests. The barrier-free Universal Room has a generously sized washroom, so older guests and guests traveling with children can use it with peace of mind. Since every room is on the 9th floor or above, guests can enjoy the view as well.

Breakfast is a Japanese-Western buffet with a menu that includes Nagoya specialties. It costs 1,980 yen including tax; babies and toddlers eat free of charge, and elementary school children pay 990 yen including tax. It is served from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., with last entry at 9:30 a.m. Besides eating in the restaurant, you can take your breakfast away: pack the food onto a dedicated tray and eat it in your room.
Baths
There are 2 communal baths for staying guests only, filled with artificial Komyoseki hot-spring water that contains naturally derived ingredients. It is not an onsen welling up from underground. Hours are from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. the next morning, and from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. Guests with tattoos are asked to refrain from using the baths, and bathing together with a child of the opposite sex is permitted only for children under school age. You may walk to the communal bath in the nightwear and slippers provided in your room.
Family-friendly features
Co-sleeping is free of charge for children under school age, with up to one child per bed. Towels and pillows are not provided for co-sleeping children, so please bring your own; if you would like towels and pillows, or if the child is of elementary school age or older, the adult rate applies. The nightwear in the guest rooms comes in children's sizes, and children's pajamas can also be borrowed by asking at the front desk.
Access
The hotel is an 8-minute walk from Nagoya Station and a 1-minute walk from Kokusai Center Station on the Subway Sakura-dori Line. From Nagoya Station you can walk through the underground mall and ride the elevator straight up to the 8th-floor lobby, so you arrive without getting wet even on a rainy day. There is no dedicated parking, but the Unimall underground parking right in front serves as an affiliated lot, at 1,100 yen per night from 5 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next morning.
