Several guests report that karaoke, table tennis and Taiko no Tatsujin are available free of charge and that their children lost track of time enjoying them. Rooms
The Western-style twin room is 22.5 sq m with two 120 cm-wide beds and sleeps 2 guests. The Deluxe Twin is 30 sq m and sleeps up to 3, with the third guest on a simple extra bed. The Japanese-style tatami rooms range from 10 to 20 tatami mats and sleep from 4 up to 7 guests, with the size and capacity varying by room. The Mikuni Suite, a room with an open-air bath, is limited to 2 rooms on the 3rd floor of the West Building; it sleeps 2 to 4 guests and is a Japanese-Western room combining a 10-tatami Japanese-style tatami area with a Western-style room holding 2 semi-double beds. The in-room open-air bath is not fed by the hot spring. The ocean-view twin room offered with accommodation plans takes 2 adults plus up to 2 co-sleeping children. There are 97 rooms in total: 52 Western-style rooms, 43 Japanese-style tatami rooms and 2 Japanese-Western rooms.
Dining
Dinner is the Mikuni Ocean Buffet, centered on seafood from the Hokuriku region, where popular dishes such as crab, sushi and sashimi sit alongside Hokuriku regional cooking. It is served from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with last entry at 7:30 p.m. Breakfast is a buffet where you can choose Japanese or Western dishes, served from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., with last entry at 8:45 a.m. The menus carry labeling for the 8 major allergens. For the dinner buffet, children who have not yet started elementary school, from age 3, are charged 2,200 yen as a facility fee, and infants aged 0 to 2 are charged 1,100 yen as a facility fee.

There are three natural onsen baths: Ryusho-no-Yu, an octagonal communal bath built with Shakudani stone quarried in Fukui Prefecture; Fugetsu-no-Yu, an open-air bath whose scenery changes with the seasons; and Wadatami-no-Yu, a communal bath whose floor is laid with special tatami. A sauna and a cold-water bath are provided as well. The spring water is an alkaline simple onsen. Boys aged 7 and over or 120 cm and taller cannot enter the women's bath, and girls of that age or height cannot enter the men's bath. Access
The hotel is about 20 minutes by car from the Kanazu IC on the Hokuriku Expressway. Parking for 200 cars is free of charge, but it cannot be reserved and is first-come, first-served. A free shuttle bus runs to and from JR Awara-Onsen Station, by reservation made by 7 p.m. the day before. There is also a shuttle bus to and from Mikuni Station on the Echizen Railway.
