Rooms

Guest rooms come in three types: the standard Yuyu-kan, the slightly more luxurious Sensen-kan, and Tokiwasure Rizza, which has open-air baths fed by the spring source. There are 118 rooms in total: 98 Japanese-style tatami rooms, 13 rooms with an open-air bath, and 7 Western-style rooms. Yuyu-kan holds Matsuya Sensen's standard, purely Japanese-style tatami rooms, including 10-tatami rooms for 2 to 5 guests, as well as "Japanese bed" rooms. Sensen-kan has Japanese-style tatami rooms of 12.5 to 15 tatami mats, with special rooms with an open-air bath sleeping 2 to 8 guests. Some Sensen-kan rooms are the "Japanese bed" type, furnished with Sealy semi-double beds measuring 121 cm wide by 203 cm long, an option for families who prefer beds to futons. The special Tokiwasure Rizza floor has rooms of 12.5 to 20 tatami mats, every one with an open-air bath fed by the spring source, sleeping roughly 2 to 6 guests. Rizza also has "open-air bath with Japanese bed" rooms using Sealy semi-double twin beds installed in the 2023 renovation, so bed-style rooms are available in all three room types. Note, however, that some Rizza stay plans state that children below elementary school age cannot stay there, so families with children who have not yet started elementary school need to choose Yuyu-kan or Sensen-kan. Every room has a bath, toilet, shower, air conditioning and heating, a television, a refrigerator, and a bidet toilet, and all rooms use down futon bedding. Wi-Fi is free.
