Elementary school children, both in the lower and upper grades, pay 70% of the adult rate. For babies and toddlers, the rate depends on the plan: 70% of the adult rate with meals and bedding, 2,200 yen with bedding but no meals, 3,850 yen with meals but no bedding, and free with neither.

On the Enjoy the Scenic Jodogahama one-night, two-meal buffet plan, up to 2 children can co-sleep. Co-sleeping is not available on the one-night, breakfast-included plan or the room-only plan.

On the Welcome Baby certified plans for the pine-grove-side and ocean-side 10-tatami Japanese-style rooms, the hotel removes breakables such as vases and provides children's toilet-training seats in the room and in the shared toilets, corner guards, outlet covers, window stoppers, a diaper pail, a baby bath thermometer and bath chair, baby soap, children's tableware and a children's step stool. A baby-bottle sterilizing kit and a bed-wetting mat can be borrowed, disposable diapers and formula are sold at the shop, and baby food is served in the dining room when you give the child's age at the time of booking.

There are 2 communal baths, Sake no Yu and Kamome no Yu, plus 2 open-air baths, but they are not onsen and there is no private-hire bath. The baths are open from 3:30 p.m. to midnight and from 5 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and the men's and women's baths are swapped. Age rules for the baths are not listed in our information, so please confirm with the hotel.

From JR Miyako Station or Sanriku Railway Miyako Station, a free shuttle bus runs with a reservation, departing Miyako Station at 2:20 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.; public buses and taxis also take about 15 minutes. Parking is free for staying guests, with 100 spaces. There are no supermarkets, convenience stores or restaurants within walking distance, so if you book a room-only stay it is wise to eat beforehand.
