Hotel Morinokaze Oushuku is a full-fledged onsen hotel at Oshuku Onsen in Shizukuishi, Iwate. Rooms

The Japanese-style tatami rooms in Mori no Yakata sleep 1 to 6 guests, so they suit family stays. The Wakatake, Matsuba and Yamabuki rooms let you enjoy the texture of tatami, with mattresses laid on the tatami for sleeping, and they sleep 2 to 3 guests. The detached VIP suite Juzuru and the special rooms Kosai, Otaki and Kocho each sleep 5 guests and have their own open-air bath.

Dining

For dinner you can choose between creative Japanese cuisine that showcases the chefs' skills and robata dishes served around a sunken irori hearth, in the style of a Nanbu magariya farmhouse. The Shikisai rooms with an open-air bath have their own dedicated menus for both dinner and breakfast. Kids' meals can be prepared, and allergy accommodations can be discussed as well.

Baths and Onsen

The spring water is an alkaline simple onsen, and the communal bath and open-air bath can be used from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to midnight. The private-hire baths are set up so that families and couples can bathe without worrying about other guests, and the simple onsen is described as the family's bath, one that children and older guests can enjoy with peace of mind. Advance reservation is required to use a private-hire bath. Guests with tattoos may currently bathe on a trial basis, provided the tattoos are completely covered with dedicated cover seals or similar.

Up to 3 children can co-sleep. Elementary school children pay 70% of the adult rate, and babies and young children with meals and bedding pay 50% of the adult rate.
