Every room has an ocean view taking in the beauty of the many islands of the Shimanami, and they come in three types, from a 42-square-meter standard room to an 80-square-meter suite for up to 5 guests. Every room has a generously sized micro-bubble bath; there is no onsen, communal bath, pool or babysitting service. Children who have not yet started elementary school and are co-sleeping can have a children's meal prepared for an additional charge, and requests about allergies and portion sizes are welcome. This is a hotel used mainly by guests staying with their dogs, and dogs wear a leash in public areas such as the lobby, corridors and restaurant.
Rooms
This is a stay-focused resort hotel set on a hill of olive groves looking out over the islands of the Seto Inland Sea, with 12 guest rooms in all. The rooms are generously sized and face the ocean, taking in the beauty of the many islands of the Shimanami, and 3 of them are suites of about 80 square meters that work well for families. Meals are served at Seto, a restaurant with a sweeping panorama of the Seto Inland Sea. For breakfast you can choose a Japanese-style menu or a Western-style menu, served from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. with last orders at 8 a.m. Dinner centers on creative Japanese-Western courses, and the content differs by plan: options include a BBQ on the rooftop terrace and a lighter Italian course for smaller appetites. There is also a plan that brings the full-course dinner to your room as in-room dining. Elementary school children are served the same dishes as adults, while children under school age who are co-sleeping can have a children's meal prepared for an additional charge. Staying with Children
Children's rates are set for each plan. On the one-night-with-breakfast plan, up to 2 children can co-sleep; elementary school children, both older and younger grades, pay 85% of the adult rate; and for babies and toddlers, the option with bedding but no meals is 5,500 yen, while the option with neither meals nor bedding is free of charge. A free shuttle to and from Oku Station is available, though it may not be offered depending on the season and time of day. Parking is free for 16 cars with no reservation required. Check-in is at 3 p.m., and a leisurely late-checkout plan is also available.
