Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko

Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko is an onsen resort hotel on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, at the foot of World Heritage-listed Mount Fuji. Its greatest attraction is that every guest room faces Mount Fuji. With no high-rise buildings or other obstructions blocking the view, guests can enjoy Mount Fuji through the forest from their room balconies all day long. The views, from the mountain glittering in the morning sun to its evening colors, are also highly rated by photographers.

Guest rooms

The guest rooms were renovated in 2024. The hotel offers a wide range of room types, from Standard Twins and upper-floor Deluxe rooms to the corner suite The Fuji, Grand Comfort Quad rooms, and Japanese-Western rooms, so guests can choose according to their group size and preferences. Every room has a Mount Fuji view, and each room also has a bath.

Mamaraku Kids' Room

This special room is limited to 1 room and is prepared for families traveling with babies and young children. Its colorful interior and animal illustrations on the walls create a space that sparks children's excitement. It is also equipped with baby and kids' items that families may wish they had while traveling, allowing families with small children to spend their stay with peace of mind.

Onsen and communal bath

The hotel has an onsen communal bath supplied with spring water from the Lake Kawaguchi source, which staying guests may use free of charge. The sauna is also available free of charge. Baby amenities are available to support families with children, allowing the whole family to enjoy a relaxing bath.

Family-friendly facilities

The hotel is equipped to support multigenerational trips and stays with babies. In addition to children's slippers, yukata, and pajamas available to borrow, the hotel can prepare baby food on request and sells baby food and diapers on the premises. It can also provide children's tableware and hot water for formula preparation at 60°C in guest rooms. Strollers are available to borrow free of charge, and bed fences and bed guards are available in limited quantities.

Dining

Guests can enjoy reasonably priced, authentic Japanese cuisine rooted in tradition, including a kaiseki menu that changes monthly prepared by the head chef, trained at a renowned traditional ryotei. All-you-can-eat shabu-shabu and family- and group-oriented plans offering free co-sleeping are also available, making the dining arrangements easy to enjoy with children. The hotel also has a basic policy for responding to food allergies.

Activities and access

The hotel has recreational facilities including tennis courts and karaoke. It is only 80 minutes from central Tokyo, about 3 minutes by car from the Chuo Expressway Kawaguchiko IC, about 5 minutes by car from Fuji-Q Highland, and about 45 minutes by car from the fifth station of Mount Fuji, making it a very convenient base for activities around Mount Fuji. Free shuttle service is also available from Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujikyuko Line and from the highway bus stop, with advance contact required. Free parking is available for 71 cars.
