Minshuku Fugakuso is a family-run guesthouse with a Showa-era feel, about a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Station. All 5 rooms are laid with tatami and use futon bedding, and the roomier 14-tatami private rooms sleep 3 to 8 guests, which makes them easy for families to share. There are 5 guest rooms in total, all Japanese-style tatami rooms. They are laid with tatami and use futon bedding, with electric fans in summer and heating in winter. None of them have their own bath or toilet, so the bath and toilets are shared. Room-only rates start at 4,000 yen per night, and when 5 or more guests share a 14-tatami private room the rate is 5,000 to 6,000 yen per person (5,500 to 6,600 yen including consumption tax).

This is a room-only guesthouse, with no dinner and no breakfast. You may bring in food as long as it does not have a strong smell, though guests are asked to refrain from bringing in raw food. A shared refrigerator and microwave are available, so you can store or reheat what you bring.
Bath
The bath and toilets are shared, and the rooms have no bath or toilet of their own. Guests receive a special discount voucher for Kaiun-no-Yu, a nearby day-use hot spring; it is an onsen away from the guesthouse, and bathing there is not included in the room rate.

Within a 10-minute walk you will find a day-use hot spring, a family restaurant, a convenience store, an izakaya pub, and a kappo Japanese restaurant. Two ski areas are 20 minutes away by car, with no shuttle service.
