Travel tips
The jetfoil to Izu Oshima Island calls at Ito for only one round trip. For waiting time before or after departure, you can relax at the foot bath or restaurants at Ito Marine Town.
Best season
In August, the Anjin Festival is held, with a sea fireworks show at Orange Beach. The same beach is busy with swimmers, so in summer you can plan your visit around water play. The fireworks commemorate William Adams, who built Japan's first Western-style sailing ship in Ito.
