The Japanese-style tatami room of 12.5 tatami mats is the core room type here, with 24 of them, each sleeping up to 6 guests. There are also 9 Suehiro-tei Japanese-style tatami rooms of 12.5 tatami mats with a cypress bath, sleeping up to 6 guests, and one Suehiro-tei Universal Design Room (52 sq m) sleeping up to 5 guests, built with a step-free entrance and a bath and toilet you can use while still in a wheelchair. Neither the Suehiro-tei rooms with a cypress bath nor the in-room baths in GENJI Kaoru use onsen water. There are 3 Comfort Japanese-style tatami rooms plus Western-style room sleeping up to 4 guests, 3 Japanese-style tatami rooms with a dining area sleeping up to 4 guests, and 2 Deluxe Japanese-modern rooms sleeping up to 8 guests, so you can also choose a roomy layout that combines tatami and Western-style areas. The luxury floor GENJI Kaoru has a suite with an open-air bath (103.25 sq m, sleeping up to 8 guests) and Japanese-Western rooms with a view bath; the suite's open-air bath cannot be used in winter. In the GENJI Kaoru rooms, futon bedding is laid out from the third guest onward. The Miyabi-tei Comfort Japanese-style tatami room plus Western-style room (53 sq m) likewise has 2 Serta beds, with futon bedding for the third guest and beyond. On the other hand, five room types decline use by children of elementary school age and under: the Suehiro-tei Single Room (12 sq m), the Suehiro-tei Simmons Bed Twin Room (19 sq m), the Miyabi-tei Simmons Bed Twin Room (16 sq m), the 2023-renovated Heian-tei Japanese-modern room (36 sq m) and the GENJI Kaoru Comfort Japanese-style tatami room plus Western-style room (53 sq m). All of these sleep only 1 to 3 guests, and there is no age restriction on the Japanese-style tatami rooms and Japanese-Western rooms that families use. Humidifiers, along with irons and DVD players, are items you can borrow for any room.
