Overview
Shirahama Baylily is a kokumin-shukusha (public lodge) in Shirahama-cho, Wakayama, where guests can stay with their pets. The communal bath draws natural hot-spring water from the Chosei source of Shirahama Onsen, and the women's changing room has a baby bed. Dinner and breakfast are both served in the restaurant. During Golden Week, the Obon holidays, the year-end and New Year period, and whenever the lodge is fully booked, the dinner venue may be the same one used by guests with pets. Baths and Onsen
The communal bath is on the 4th floor, drawing natural onsen water flowing straight from the Chosei source, one of the springs of Shirahama Onsen. Rich in calcium, the water is classified as a weak sodium-bicarbonate saline spring and is said to help with stiff shoulders, skin beauty and recovery from fatigue. Hours are 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through to 9 a.m. the next morning, with the bath closed for cleaning from 5:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. The changing room on the women's side has a baby bed, which makes getting ready easier with a baby or toddler. The tubs have handrails as well.

Free parking is available in front of the lodge on a first-come, first-served basis, but there is no shuttle service. Nanki-Shirahama Airport is about an hour from Haneda Airport, and the lodge is about 10 minutes by car from the airport.
