Phoenix Seagaia Ocean Tower

Phoenix Seagaia Ocean Tower is a high-rise tower hotel with ocean views in every room, forming the centerpiece of "Seagaia," a large resort surrounded by pine forest in Miyazaki City. It is about 15 minutes by car from JR Miyazaki Station and about 30 minutes by car from Miyazaki Airport. The same resort also brings together condominiums, cottages, a golf course, and a spa, so it suits everything from family trips with young children to three-generation travel.

The highlight for families is the indoor kids' park "KIDS OASIS" on the 3rd floor of the Ocean Tower. It has permanent installations including toys, a ball pool, a Tarzan rope, block art, and a library corner, so children from around age 2 through elementary school can play regardless of rain or extreme heat (guests only, a separate time-based fee of JPY 550 per 2 hours).

The pools are also well equipped. The indoor pool, free for guests, has a shallow area and is open year-round. In summer, the outdoor "Garden Pool" and a splash area also open, and from April to July 2026 the pools underwent a major renewal (adding new slides, a new shallow area, and more). It's also convenient that the pool changing rooms lead directly to the forest onsen facility "Shosenkyu," which has an open-air bath, and a new bathing building called "Mangetsu" ("Full Moon") is scheduled to open on August 12, 2026.

Rooms include spacious options for families to relax in, such as Family Suites (capacity 6) and Family Rooms (capacity 5). The hotel is equipped with a diaper-changing area and a nursing room, and the restaurant offers children's tableware and a kids' menu, so families with babies can stay with peace of mind. Note that there is no clear official statement on whether children who are not yet potty-trained can use the onsen or pools, so if you're planning to use them, it's reassuring to check with the hotel in advance. With the sea, pools, onsen, and kids' park, this is one of Miyazaki's leading family resorts, offering a full day of fun regardless of the weather. Allergy accommodations can be discussed, but may not be possible depending on the venue or plan, and menu changes are not available for the BBQ plan. The facility has 5 private-hire baths, open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., using onsen water. Early check-in and late checkout are also available for weekday stays.
