The dinner and breakfast buffets, with crab and seafood as well as Haagen-Dazs ice cream, go down well with children, and guests also enjoyed the time they spent at the table-tennis tables and the manga corner. On the other hand, some guests were bothered by a chlorine smell in the communal bath and the open-air bath, and some found the elevator changes on the way to their room hard to follow.

The lineup runs from 8-mat to 30-mat tatami rooms through Japanese-Western twins and Fours (quad) rooms with Japanese-style beds, sleeping anywhere from 1 to 12 guests, so you can choose a room to match the size of your family. Breakfast and dinner are both buffets in the restaurant, where children's tableware and chairs are on hand and baby food is available. The communal bath on the 4th floor and the panoramic open-air bath on the 13th floor are both onsen; the communal bath has items for children, and the changing room of the women's communal bath has a baby bed. There is no private-hire bath and no in-room dining.
Rooms
The lineup centers on Japanese-style tatami rooms and Japanese-Western rooms. The tatami rooms run from an economy 8-mat room up through standard rooms of 9 mats plus 6 mats, 10 mats, 10 mats plus 4.5 mats, 12 mats plus 6 mats, 12.5 mats, 12.5 mats plus 6 mats, 15 mats, 15 mats plus 8 mats and 30 mats, and there is also a suite tatami room of 15 mats plus 4.5 mats. Other types include Western-style twins, Japanese-Western twins of 16 mats plus 7.5 mats, suite Japanese-Western twins of 15 mats plus 12 mats, and twin and Fours (quad) rooms with Japanese-style beds; capacity ranges from 1 to 12 guests. Whether a room has its own bath depends on the type: the 12.5-mat tatami room with an indoor bath and the tatami room of 10 mats plus 4.5 mats with an indoor bath have a bathtub and a toilet, while types without an indoor bath, such as the economy 8-mat tatami room, have a toilet only. Some rooms, such as the Japanese-bed twin for 3 guests, have a shower only. Bedding arrangements by group size differ by type as well: in the standard Japanese-Western twin of 16 mats plus 7.5 mats, futon bedding is provided from the third guest onward when 3 or more people stay; in the superior Japanese-bed twin for 3 guests, one guest uses a sofa bed when 3 people stay; and in the superior Japanese-bed Fours room for 6 guests, futon bedding is provided from the fifth guest onward when 5 or more people stay. Breakfast and dinner are both buffets served in the restaurant, and there is no in-room dining. Dinner runs from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the hours may change depending on how many guests are staying that day. The restaurant has children's tableware and chairs, and baby food is available too, so just let a staff member know if you would like some. As for food allergies, the Ooedo Onsen Monogatari group does not prepare individually adapted meals, and because the meals are buffet-style, ingredients are not labeled dish by dish either. If your child has allergies, you are permitted to bring in food and tableware that are safe for them. An anniversary cake can also be ordered for a fee.
Baths and Onsen
The communal bath and the open-air bath are onsen, and the spring water is a sodium and calcium, sulfate and chloride onsen. There is a panoramic open-air bath on the 13th floor and an indoor communal bath on the 4th floor, and the 4th-floor indoor bath is more spacious and higher-ceilinged than the open-air bath. The communal bath and open-air bath are open from 3 p.m. to midnight and from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the sauna from 3 p.m. to midnight and from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.; the hours may change for cleaning. Kaga Tenku no Yu cannot be used from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. or from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., while the men's and women's baths are being switched over. Handrails are installed in the bathing areas. Towels and bath towels are not kept in the bathing areas, so you need to bring them from your room. There is no private-hire bath, and the water in the guest-room baths is not onsen water. Children aged 7 and over or 120 cm and taller use the bath for their own gender, so you cannot bathe together with a child of the opposite gender who is that age or taller. Whether children who are not yet out of diapers (not yet toilet-trained) may get into the bathtubs is not stated, so please confirm with the ryokan in advance. At the Premium Lounge by the entrance to the 4th-floor communal bath, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, ice pops and more are free of charge, as many times as you like during your stay within the lounge's opening hours.

The ryokan is 10 minutes by car from Kaga-Onsen Station and 15 minutes by car from the Katayamazu Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway. A shuttle bus runs by advance reservation, with a transport contribution of 100 yen per one-way trip. Shuttle reservations must be made by 6 p.m. on the day before your stay. There is parking for 120 vehicles, free of charge. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and checkout is at 11 a.m.; please contact the ryokan if you will arrive after 6 p.m. In winter, snowfall and icy roads are expected, so come equipped with studless tires or similar.
