The spacious building sleeps up to 8 guests, so a family or a group can have the whole place to themselves and relax without worrying about other guests. Alongside household equipment such as air conditioning in the living room and a futon dryer, the kitchen comes with cooking utensils and tableware for self-catering. On the covered balcony you can barbecue using the grill, which is available to borrow free of charge. Pets are welcome too. It is a highland hideaway that also works well as a base for mountain climbing, hiking and touring the hot springs known as the Kokonoe Kyuyu.
This whole-house log cabin stands among the mountains of Iida Kogen in Tano, Kokonoe-machi, Kusu-gun, Oita. It is about 20 minutes by car from the Kokonoe Interchange on the Oita Expressway via the Shikisai Road, and can also be reached by car from Bungo-Nakamura Station on the JR Kyudai Main Line, which makes it a good base for climbing and hiking in the Kuju mountain range and for touring the hot springs known as the Kokonoe Kyuyu.

The building is rented to a single group at a time, with a capacity of up to 8 guests. For 3 guests or fewer, the whole-building rate applies. Because you can spend your time without worrying about other guests, families who are anxious about a baby or young child crying or fussing at night can settle in as if they were at home. The interior is entirely non-smoking; smoking is done outdoors, and you need to bring your own ashtray.
