Overview
Glamphouse Daisen is a detached house at the foot of Mount Daisen in Tottori, rented in its entirety to one group at a time. The 134 sq m house has four rooms plus a living-dining-kitchen area (4LDK), including four Japanese-style tatami rooms that sleep 2 guests each, for up to 8 guests in total. The 500-tsubo (about 1,650 sq m) grounds have a large garden, a barbecue site and a terrace deck, and all the barbecue equipment is provided, so you only need to bring the food. Breakfast and dinner are not served; guests cook for themselves in a kitchen stocked with cookware and tableware. Up to 2 children who have not yet started elementary school can co-sleep, and children's rates are also set. No staff are on site, and check-in and checkout are self-service.
Rooms and Facilities
The 134 sq m house, with four rooms plus a living-dining-kitchen area (4LDK), is rented to one group per day. There are four Japanese-style tatami rooms that sleep 2 guests each, and the living room has a large flat-screen TV, a sofa and an HDMI cable for connecting a smartphone. In winter the dining table doubles as a kotatsu (a heated table). The house has a bath and a toilet with a washlet. On-site facilities are the barbecue garden, a mini kitchen and parking; there is no communal bath, onsen or playroom. Amenities are shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath towels, face towels, toothbrushes with toothpaste and a hair dryer. There is a washing machine and free Wi-Fi, and the entire property is non-smoking.
The 500-Tsubo Grounds and Glamping
The grounds cover 500 tsubo (about 1,650 sq m) and include a large garden, a barbecue site and a terrace deck. Glamping is available in the garden, though it may not be possible depending on the weather.
Self-Catering and Barbecue
Because neither breakfast nor dinner is served, guests prepare their own meals. The kitchen has an induction cooktop, a cutting board, a knife, frying pans, pots, plates, cups and chopsticks, along with a microwave, a rice cooker, a refrigerator and a coffee machine. There is also a donabe (an earthenware pot) for hot-pot dishes and a steamer, and the kitchen is roomy enough to cook for a large group. The barbecue site has both gas and charcoal grills, and the necessary tools are all there, so you can simply bring your food and enjoy it. Ingredients and seasonings are brought in by guests; for shopping, AEON Mall Hiezu is 15 minutes away by car. Barbecuing is until 9 p.m.
Staying with Children
Under the accommodation plans, co-sleeping is limited to up to 2 children who have not yet started elementary school, and children's rates are also set. Crib and other baby-item rentals, a playroom and children's programs are not listed, so please bring what you need or confirm in advance before your stay. The plan's list of provided items includes card games. Since the house is yours alone for the day, you can relax without worrying about other guests. One small indoor dog may come along, in which case you need to book through the pet plan. Please take care if anyone in your party has a dog allergy.
