Mars Garden Hotel Hakata is a 200-room city hotel a 1-minute walk from the Chikushi exit of JR Hakata Station and 5 minutes by subway from Fukuoka Airport. Children who have not yet started elementary school co-sleep free of charge, and the hotel offers a kids' plate at breakfast and a kids' set meal at lunch and dinner. Rooms
Single, semi-double and double rooms are 14-14.3 sq m for 1-2 guests, each with one Simmons bed 130-140 cm wide. For families, the Standard Simmons Twin (18.2 sq m, for 1-2 guests) is a corner room with two beds 110 cm wide, where up to 2 children under school age can co-sleep. The larger Deluxe Simmons Twin/Triple (26.3 sq m, for 1-3 guests) has two beds 130 cm wide plus a sofa bed measuring 90 cm by 200 cm; here too up to 2 children under school age can co-sleep, and using the sofa bed allows 3 guests to stay. The Standard Simmons Twin and the Deluxe Simmons Twin each also include 3 Japanese-Western style rooms, but these are described inconsistently across listings, so if you would like a Japanese-style tatami room it is best to confirm with the hotel before booking. Rooms are equipped with an air purifier with a humidifying function, among other features. Please note that there are steps inside the rooms and the passageways are narrow, so there are no barrier-free rooms and the layout is inconvenient for wheelchair users. Buildings stand on both sides of the hotel, so there are no views from either the upper or lower floors.

All seating is sunken-floor (horigotatsu) seating, and guests take off their shoes at the entrance and store them in a lockable shoe locker.

Co-sleeping is free of charge for children who have not yet started elementary school, with up to one child per adult, and towels can be prepared for them if you let the hotel know in advance. Parking on the first basement level has space for 11 cars and requires advance reservation, at 2,000 yen per night including tax, with vehicle limits of 4.9 m in length, 1.8 m in width, 1.65 m in height and 2 tons in weight. Because the basement parking is reached by a mechanical lift, vehicles outside those limits, such as larger 3-number class cars (a Japanese registration category for larger vehicles), are directed to a nearby affiliated parking lot. A convenience store (FamilyMart) adjoins the hotel.
