Standard rooms are either 12-tatami Japanese-style tatami rooms or Japanese-Western rooms; in the Japanese-Western rooms, futon bedding can also be laid out in the tatami area. There are also rooms styled after a traditional farmhouse on a Hida theme, with a 10-tatami Japanese-style room and a wood-floored area furnished with an irori sunken hearth, an antique chest of drawers and similar pieces. The rooms with an open-air bath (12-tatami Japanese-style rooms) and the rooms with an antique open-air bath (a 10-tatami Japanese-style room plus an antique room) are among the few rooms in Gero Onsen whose open-air bath is fed by onsen water, so you can soak in your room's onsen whenever you like. There are 32 rooms in total, made up of 25 Japanese-style tatami rooms and 7 Japanese-Western rooms, 9 of which have an open-air bath. All rooms are non-smoking.
