Futsukaichi Onsen Taikanso is an onsen ryokan at Futsukaichi Onsen, known as the okuzashiki - the quiet back-parlor retreat - of Fukuoka and Hakata. It is about 5 minutes by car from JR Futsukaichi Station and about 8 minutes by car from Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station. Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, the Kyushu National Museum and Sakamoto Hachimangu Shrine, the place associated with the era name Reiwa, are all close by, which makes it a convenient base for family sightseeing.

The waters of Futsukaichi Onsen have been flowing for 1,300 years and were sung of in the Manyoshu anthology.
