Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Gujyo is a hotel with simply appointed rooms, next door to the Kokin Denju no Sato Yamato roadside station in Gujo, Gifu. The 25 sq m non-smoking rooms come in two types, twin (two beds 120 cm wide) and king (one bed 180 cm wide), and each room sleeps up to 4 guests. One child of elementary school age or younger per adult can co-sleep free of charge. Rooms
The non-smoking rooms come in two types, twin and king, and both are 25 sq m. Twin rooms have two beds 120 cm wide, and king rooms have one bed 180 cm wide; either type sleeps from 1 to 4 guests. Accommodation plans include children's rates. The beds are made by Simmons, and the bathrooms have a shower booth only, with no bathtub. Rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, a 49-inch television, a refrigerator, a safe, slippers, a kettle, a hair dryer, hangers, room wear, a toothbrush set, shampoo and conditioner.
Dining
There is no restaurant on site. Sales of breakfast boxes are currently suspended, and they are not expected to resume for some time. The Kokin Denju no Sato Yamato roadside station next to the hotel brings together a morning market with local vegetables and regional products, a restaurant serving local flavors and a bakery, so this is where guests go for meals.
Baths
Guest-room bathrooms have a shower booth only, with no bathtub. The roadside station next to the hotel has a day-use onsen, Yamato Onsen Yasuragikan, with two kinds of open-air baths (one with a waterfall flowing into it and one with a slide), which alternate between men and women each week. The bath with the slide makes bathing with children more fun. The facility is closed every Tuesday (or the next weekday if Tuesday is a public holiday) and over the New Year period.

Co-sleeping is free for up to one child of elementary school age or younger per adult. Children in both the upper and lower grades of elementary school are eligible for free co-sleeping. Babies and toddlers can co-sleep free of charge only if they need neither meals nor bedding; babies and toddlers who need a meal or bedding cannot be accommodated. Up to 2 children may co-sleep, and if your group exceeds the set number of guests, you may be asked to add the rooms needed on the day. Children's amenities are not provided, so please bring your own. There is no childcare service and no pool, indoor or outdoor, on site.

There are 80 parking spaces, free for guests on a first-come, first-served basis. If the lot is full, staff can point you to parking nearby. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to midnight, and checkout is at 11 a.m.
