Overview

BLANC NIKKO had its grand opening on November 1, 2026, beside the forests of Nikko and the clear waters of the Tamozawa River. Its 4 guest rooms are independent villas built from trailer houses. Every room has its own in-room onsen in a hinoki (Japanese cypress) bath, and there is no communal bath. Dinner and breakfast are both delivered to your room, and children aged 0 to 6 booked with meals are served a kids' menu. For a family stay, the Suite Villa, which sleeps up to 4, is the option to consider. Allergy requests are not accommodated, and there are no staff stationed on site.

Rooms

The guest rooms are villas built from trailer houses, and all 4 stand independently. Each is a private space, much like a whole-house rental, where you can relax without worrying about the neighbors. The Suite Villa is one room made up of two units, with an in-room onsen in a hinoki (Japanese cypress) bath. It sleeps up to 4 guests, measures 63 sq m (including the engawa veranda) and has 4 single beds. The two units, joined by the engawa, can be used together with the terrace as one space, which suits stays of 3 to 4 guests. The Standard Villa is one room in a single unit, also with an in-room onsen in a hinoki bath. It sleeps up to 2 guests, measures 29 sq m (including the engawa) and has 2 single beds. On Rakuten Travel, the Suite Villa is shown as a "Fours" (quad) room of 43 m² and the Standard Villa as a twin room of 22 m², so the floor-area figures differ. Room equipment includes air conditioning, a refrigerator, a microwave, a kettle, a humidifier, an air purifier with a dehumidifying function and a hair dryer. Rakuten Travel shows the microwave as available in some rooms only, by reservation. There is no TV in the rooms and no kitchen equipment, and there is no coin laundry on the property. You are welcome to bring food and drinks into your room.

Dining

All meals are eaten in your room; nothing is served in a restaurant. Dinner is a Japanese kaiseki meal centered on individual hot pots of local specialty beef and pork. At check-in you choose a time between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., in 15-minute steps, and dinner is delivered to your room at that time. On plans that include dinner, you need to check in by 6 p.m. Breakfast is a continental breakfast, delivered to your room the night before so you can eat it whenever you like during your stay. For children aged 0 to 6 booked with meals, plans with dinner and breakfast include a kids' menu for both meals. On breakfast-only plans, breakfast is the kids' menu; if you would prefer your child to have the same menu as adults, you need to contact the property directly. The children's dinner is 2,200 yen including tax, and because the menu is still being finalized, its content may change. Allergy requests are not accepted, and guests with food allergies are advised to book a room-only plan (no meals). Both breakfast and dinner contain egg, milk and wheat, three of the 8 specified allergenic ingredients.

Baths and Onsen

All 4 rooms have an in-room onsen in a hinoki bath that you can use any time during your stay. There is no communal bath. The water comes from Jakko Onsen (Yohaku no Yu), and it is an alkaline simple onsen (a hypotonic, alkaline, high-temperature spring). Because the bath is in your room, you can bathe with your children whenever you like without worrying about other guests. Whether children in diapers may get into the tub is not stated, so please contact the property if this applies to you. The bathing tax of 150 yen per person per night, for junior high school students and older, is included in the room rate.

Family-Friendly Features

Co-sleeping is limited to children who have not yet started elementary school: up to 2 co-sleeping children in the Suite Villa and up to 1 in the Standard Villa. Elementary school children cannot co-sleep. Children's rates likewise apply only to children under school age (ages 0 to 6), and each plan has a children's rate for its rooms. The amounts, the co-sleeping charge and the number of people per bed are not listed in our information, so please confirm them when booking. If you are staying with a child aged 0 to 6, check that your booking shows the correct choice of meals and futon bedding, and contact the property by 4 days before your stay if anything needs to change. There is no information about cribs or baby futons, so please inquire if you need them. Because no staff are stationed on site, the property cannot arrange taxis, and luggage cannot be stored before check-in or after checkout. The on-site shop is open 24 hours, but it does not accept cash; payment is cashless only. A 7-Eleven convenience store is about 5 minutes away by car, and the Lion d'Or Nikko supermarket is about 10 minutes by car. Bonfires are not permitted on the property.

Access

Check-in is from 3 p.m. (last check-in 9 p.m.), and checkout is at 10 a.m. By car, the property is about 10 minutes from Nikko IC on the Nikko-Utsunomiya Road, and also about 10 minutes from Nikko Toshogu. No shuttle service is offered. Snow and icy roads occur in winter, so you will need chains, winter tires or similar preparations. Parking for 4 cars is free with no reservation needed, limited to 1 car per room. By train, take a Tobu Bus from JR Nikko Station or Tobu Nikko Station for about 10 minutes to the Nikko Tamozawa Imperial Villa Memorial Park bus stop, then walk 20 minutes. Families with a stroller or lots of luggage should keep that walk in mind.
