The water is a milky, cloudy onsen drawn from the Nikko Yumoto spring source. The spring water is a sulfur-containing sodium and calcium sulfate, bicarbonate and chloride spring (hydrogen sulfide type). There is a communal bath and an open-air bath for men and for women, with bathing hours from 3 p.m. to midnight and from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. The changing room of the women's bath has a baby bed, so you can lay your baby down while you change. There is no sauna. No information about a private-hire bath is available either, so bathing means using the communal bath and the open-air bath. Whether children who are not yet out of diapers may get into the baths is not published, so please confirm with the hotel in advance. 80 minutes by Tobu Bus from Tobu or JR Nikko Station, then a 1-minute walk from the Kohanmae bus stop. 60 minutes by car from Kiyotaki IC on the Nikko-Utsunomiya Toll Road. Parking is free, with no limit on the number of vehicles, and the hotel states that it can accommodate one for every guest room. It is not covered parking. From December until around early April you need to carry studless tires or chains. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., extended to 10 p.m. on plans without dinner, and checkout is at 10 a.m.
