Overview
Atami Tsukiwemon is a small onsen inn with 18 rooms, set on a hillside in Atami. The in-room open-air baths and the private-hire open-air baths are fed by Atami onsen flowing directly from the source, and the private-hire open-air baths are free to use. Children's amenities include a three-piece children's set (slippers, toothbrush and body sponge) as well as yukata, and baby items such as a diaper bin and a Bumbo seat are available to borrow. Kaiseki cuisine is served in a semi-private dining area.
Rooms
The inn has 18 rooms in total: 5 rooms with an open-air bath and 13 standard rooms. The top-grade special room with a terrace and open-air bath measures 24 tatami mats, with a terrace of another 24 tatami mats. It accommodates 2 to 4 guests, and bedding consists of 2 built-in Japanese-style mattresses plus 2 futons, for up to 4 sets in total. It has an in-room open-air bath and a shower, but no indoor bath. There are also rooms spacious enough for families as well as rooms for 2 guests only. Room types included in the plans include a 66 sq m room for 1 to 8 guests with up to 7 futons, as well as a 38 sq m view family room for 1 to 5 guests. Access
The inn is about 10 minutes by taxi from Atami Station and about 5 minutes by taxi from Kinomiya Station. Free parking is available for staying guests, and cars may be parked before check-in from 11 a.m. The roads from central Atami up to the inn are narrow with many slopes, so please take care. No shuttle service is offered.
