About Kumamon Square
Kumamon Square is the home base of Kumamon, the beloved black bear mascot of Kumamoto Prefecture, on the first floor of the Tetoria Kumamoto Building in Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City. Kumamon serves as the prefecture's Head of Sales and Head of Happiness, and he performs on stage almost every day. When Kumamon is away, you can step onto the stage and play AR (augmented reality) games. There is also a photo spot where you can pose with a lifelike Kumamon, a shop with original merchandise, and a cafe serving parfaits made with ingredients from Kumamoto Prefecture.
