In winter, the slopes of Zao Liza World spread out right in front of the lodge. With 6 courses and 3 lifts and plenty of beginner terrain, sledding, snow tubing and a kids' park make it a fine place for small children to try the snow for the first time. There is also a kids' ski school and a childcare room available by reservation, and ski, snowboard and wear rentals can be used as well.

Overview
Zao Liza Woody Lodge is an apartment-style lodge on the Bodairakogen plateau in Zao, at about 1,000 m elevation, where families can settle in as if they had their own holiday home. Every room has a mini kitchen, induction cooktop, refrigerator, rice cooker and microwave, along with a full set of cooking equipment and tableware, so you can bring your own ingredients and cook, or order ingredient sets and barbecues at the lodge instead. In winter, the slopes of Zao Liza World spread out right in front of the building, making it a fine place for a first taste of snow with sledding and snow tubing. In summer it works as a base for trekking, an aerial stroll on the Katta lift, and a visit to the Lina World amusement park, so families can enjoy it through all four seasons.
This apartment lodge stands at about 1,000 m elevation at the base of Zao Liza World (Liza Ski Resort). It sits on the Bodairakogen plateau along the Zao Echo Line, about 30 minutes by car from JR Kaminoyama-Onsen Station, or about 45 minutes by shuttle bus in winter. It also makes a good base for the drive to Okama, the symbol of Zao.
Rooms
There are two room types to choose from. Maisonette type (22 rooms): a two-floor layout for up to 7 guests, about 63 sq m. The stairs and the two-level space give children room to roam. Flat type (32 rooms): for up to 5 guests, about 45 sq m. A single-floor layout suited to families and couples. Every room has a mini kitchen, induction cooktop, refrigerator, rice cooker, electric kettle and microwave, plus a full set of cooking equipment including pots, frying pans, knives and tableware. Bedding, body soap and shampoo are provided. Please bring your own toiletries such as towels and toothbrushes, along with a hair dryer and pajamas. Check-in is at 4 p.m. (until 6 p.m.) and checkout is at 10 a.m.
Dining
Alongside bringing your own ingredients and cooking for yourselves, staying guests can order ingredient sets: a wild mountain vegetable and duck hot pot, an imoni taro hot pot, or a winter-only hot pot, each 1,700 yen per person, and in summer an outdoor barbecue set at 3,000 yen per person. The restaurant in the Center House also serves a breakfast buffet at 1,000 yen for children from age 4 through elementary school, and a dinner buffet at 1,850 yen for the same ages.
