Oyako Hotel Nagoya is a certified Welcome Baby hotel in Nagoya, a 4-minute walk from Motoyama Station on the Higashiyama subway line and a 10-minute walk from Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens. The rooms are apartment-style, with a kitchen with an induction cooktop and a dishwasher-dryer. Shoes are strictly not allowed indoors, the floors are carpeted, and safety touches include low sofas and electrical outlets with shutters. Cribs, bed guards, organic baby food and even diapers are all in the room, so you can travel with a baby and pack less. There is no restaurant; meals are either cooked in your room's kitchen or eaten at nearby places.
Rooms
There are 2 guest rooms in total, one on the 6th floor and one on the 4th floor. With just one room per floor, you can relax without worrying about your children's voices or the noise they make. Each room is about 80 sq m with a bath and toilet, and sleeps 1 to 8 guests. The beds are a family-style setup of two semi-double beds joined together, with waterproof sheets and a gap guard fitted as standard. As a guide, the beds sleep 3 adults traveling on their own, or 2 adults plus 2 children for a family. For larger groups, you add single futon sets for a fee (4,400 yen per set, tax included, up to 3 sets), reserved in advance. Rates are set per room, and some booking sites also set children's rates. The beds are low to keep children from falling, and they can be used together with the bed guards. Shoes are strictly not allowed indoors and the floors are carpeted, so you can take your shoes off at the door and let a crawling baby move around with peace of mind. There are no Japanese-style tatami rooms. The rooms open directly from the elevator, so you can wheel a stroller straight in, and there is a stroller space where you can leave it without folding it. Each room has a freezer-refrigerator, a kitchen with an induction cooktop, a dishwasher-dryer, a convection microwave oven, an electric kettle, a washer-dryer, a humidifying air purifier and more, and you are free to bring in your own luggage and groceries.
Dining
There is no restaurant on the property. You can cook in your room's kitchen or eat out nearby. Instead of breakfast, coffee tickets for a nearby coffee shop are provided for each guest booked. Baby food is prepared by age in months: for 5 to 6 months, 2 portions of plain rice porridge and 3 side-dish pouches; for 7 to 9 months, 2 portions of plain rice porridge and 4 side-dish pouches; and for 10 to 12 and a half months, 2 servings of packaged rice and 4 side dishes. Powdered formula for ages 0 to 12 months and follow-up formula for 12 months to 3 years are also available, so you do not need to bring a whole can. Baby food you bring can be warmed in the room's microwave, and baby bottles can be sterilized with the in-room baby-bottle sterilizing set. Water for formula is free from the in-room water server, which dispenses water at 70°C, ideal for making formula, and has a child lock. Children's tableware sets, cups, spoons and forks, straws and paper bibs are all provided.
Bath
The en-suite bathroom has a separate washing area and is roomy enough for the whole family to bathe together. The tub has a step and a handrail inside, so small children can sit and soak. Organic baby soap and baby lotion are provided.

For more guests than that, extra futon bedding is available for a fee.
