Hotel Seaside Shimabara is an onsen resort hotel on the Ariake Sea coast in Shimabara, Nagasaki. Every room except the single rooms has an ocean view, and two kinds of water, Shimabara onsen and highly concentrated carbonated spring water, can be enjoyed in the communal baths and open-air baths. Staying guests can use the Kidpia playroom free of charge, and Korassanne Plaza is a lawn plaza with play equipment. Co-sleeping is available, with charges applying from age 3. Children's menus and amenities are also provided, so the hotel is an easy place to stay with young children.
Rooms
Every room except the single rooms has an ocean view over the Ariake Sea. The Japanese-Western rooms on the 3rd to 5th floors of the new wing add a tatami-floored Japanese-style space to the bedroom, and they use cushioned flooring that gives parents peace of mind with small children. The ocean-view Japanese-Western room is 36.1 sq m and sleeps 1 to 5 guests, combining a 4.5-tatami Japanese-style area with twin beds, each 120 cm wide. The twin room (26.5 sq m, for 1 to 2 guests) also has 120 cm beds and comes with a terrace. The 6th floor of the new wing has rooms with an open-air bath and a jacuzzi (29.7 sq m, for 1 to 2 guests), and there is also a spacious 56.3 sq m suite for 1 to 4 guests, so you can choose a room type to suit the size of your family. Guest rooms are equipped with a humidifier. A microwave and a mini kitchen are available in some rooms only, and using them requires an advance reservation. The in-room baths are not onsen.

Breakfast is a buffet served at the restaurant Alba. It costs 1,500 yen for adults and 750 yen for children (age 3 through elementary school). For children there are Western-style and Japanese-style kids' meals, as well as a kids' meal for elementary school children. Baths and Onsen
Tojidokoro (a therapeutic bathing area) on the 1st floor of the main building and the panoramic communal bath on the 6th floor of the new wing both offer two kinds of water: Shimabara onsen, which is gentle on the skin, and highly concentrated carbonated spring water, which is expected to help with recovery from fatigue. There are airy open-air baths and indoor baths, plus a sauna. Because the in-room baths are not onsen, you need to go to Tojidokoro or the panoramic bath to soak in the onsen.
