Unzen Onsen Seiunso is an onsen ryokan inside Unzen National Park at an elevation of about 700 m, with water flowing straight from its own spring source. You can soak in the milky-white sulfur onsen in the open-air bath, the communal bath and the private-hire bath, and the private-hire bath is a favorite with families who have young children. Some Japanese-style tatami rooms can be rearranged into a Hollywood-style bed layout, and children's meals are available, including a menu for elementary school children and a kids' meal for children under school age. None of the rooms have their own bath, so guests bathe in the communal bath, the open-air bath and the private-hire bath.

The Japanese-style Superior room (39 sq m, for 3 to 4 guests) has 3 to 4 low beds set on Ryukyu tatami, and it can be rearranged into a Hollywood-style layout, so families with children can sleep with peace of mind. The Japanese-style Stylish room (33 sq m, for 3 guests) is a Ryukyu tatami room with 2 beds when used by 2 guests and 3 beds when used by 3; the beds measure 110 cm by 195 cm. Baths and Onsen
Seiunso owns the spring source of Kojigoku Onsen, which boasts the greatest volume of hot spring water in Unzen, and the open-air bath, the indoor bath and the private-hire bath are all served straight from that source. The water is a simple sulfur spring of the hydrogen sulfide type, weakly acidic at pH 4.3; it is clear and colorless as it emerges and turns milky white on contact with the air. The open-air bath is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the communal bath from 11 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. the next morning, apart from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for cleaning. The private-hire bath is available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 2,500 yen per room for 50 minutes, including tax, and it is a favorite with families who have young children.
