Resort Inn North Country Furano is about an hour by car from Asahikawa Airport. Guest rooms come as Japanese-Western rooms, twin rooms and maisonette rooms, and the Japanese-Western rooms have a tatami area in addition to the bed space. Every room has a bathtub, toilet and shower, and the restaurant serves dishes made with local ingredients, such as Furano Omu-Curry and cheese fondue. There is an artificial hot spring using Black Silica, with gender-separated communal baths and an open-air bath. Note that the building has no elevator, so all movement between floors is by stairs.
Rooms
Guests can choose between Japanese-Western rooms, twin rooms (triple rooms) and maisonette rooms. The Japanese-Western rooms have a tatami area in addition to the bed space, which suits families who want to use beds and futons separately. The twin rooms have 2 beds and can sleep up to 3 guests when the sofa bed is used. The maisonette rooms have 6 beds across two levels, with a tatami area on the first level and a bed space with 4 beds on the second; laying out the futons is self-service. All rooms have a bathtub, toilet, shower, air conditioning and heating, a television and a refrigerator.
Dining
Breakfast and dinner are both served in the restaurant. The kitchen focuses on ingredients from Furano and elsewhere in Hokkaido, with dishes such as Furano Omu-Curry, which combines two Japanese favorites, curry and omelet-wrapped rice; thick-cut bacon made with Shiretoko Clean Pork; seasonal local vegetables; and Furano cheese fondue. Breakfast also includes a special French toast made with Danish pastry bread, as well as North Curry.
Baths
The baths include an artificial hot spring, made by placing the natural mineral stone Black Silica in the tub, and a small open-air bath where you can feel the natural surroundings. They are gender-separated communal baths, each about the right size for 7 to 8 people. Even when bathing with a small child, you will be sharing the bath with other guests rather than booking it privately.
Family-Friendly Notes
The building has no elevator, and the only way to reach the guest rooms is by stairs, so strollers and suitcases have to be carried up. Stay plans include set child rates.

The hotel is 1 hour by car from Asahikawa Airport and 1 hour by car from the Mikasa IC on the Do-o Expressway. Furano Station on the Nemuro Main Line is the nearest station. There is parking for 40 cars, free of charge. Furano Ski Resort is an 18-minute walk or a 5-minute drive away.
