Itsuka Furano is a small barrier-free inn in the forests of Furano, run by a married couple. The entire building, guest rooms included, is on the ground floor with no steps, and the bathrooms lock from the inside so each group can use them privately. The dining room has toys and picture books for children, meals are home-style dishes made with Furano-grown vegetables, and allergy requests can be discussed. In winter, children's ski wear is also available to borrow.
Rooms
There are 4 guest rooms - Rera, Moshiri, Chup and Nisor - and the whole property, guest rooms included, is on the ground floor, with barrier-free floors and no steps. It is an easy place to move around with a stroller. Rera is a Japanese-Western style room for 1 to 3 guests. Moshiri sleeps 1 to 3 guests and has two twin beds in 12.6 sq m. Chup sleeps 1 to 2 guests and has two twin beds in 9.4 sq m. Nisor sleeps 1 to 2 guests. The rooms do not have a bathroom or toilet, and each is stocked with bath towels, hand towels, drinking water, sanitizing wet wipes and paper cups. Out of consideration for the natural surroundings there is no air conditioning, and a fan is placed in each room in summer. No room has a television, so the setting stays quiet.
Dining
Dinner is served from 6:30 p.m. and breakfast from 7 a.m., at the time you prefer. Dinner is a casual set-meal spread of home-style dishes that make generous use of vegetables. The owner's specialty seasonal quiche also appears at breakfast, and it is the signature dish that groups slice up and share. If there are ingredients you cannot eat because of allergies or otherwise, you can let the inn know when booking. Children's rates are set in age bands: 70% of the adult rate for children in grades 4 to 6 of elementary school, 60% for grades 1 to 3, and 50% for children from age 4 through those who have not yet started elementary school. For younger children, you can choose from 2,200 yen for meals only, 1,100 yen for futon bedding only, or no charge at all if neither meals nor futon bedding is needed. On plans that do not include two meals, breakfast can be added for 1,500 yen and dinner for 2,000 yen.
Baths
The inn has 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets, all of them wheelchair accessible. There is a larger bathroom that fits 1 to 3 people and a smaller one that fits 1 to 2 people, and both lock from the inside, so each group can use them privately. Body wash and 2-in-1 shampoo are provided. Bathing hours are 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; in the morning only showers are available. At check-in you are asked which bathing time you would prefer, and the times are arranged so that the groups staying can bathe smoothly.

The dining room, Fupu, has a piano along with toys and picture books for children, and it is the only room with air conditioning, so children can play indoors in comfort even in summer. Access
It is about 15 minutes by taxi from the nearest station, JR Furano Station. Free pickup and drop-off is offered to JR Furano Station, to the Kita-no-mine Iriguchi bus stop for buses from Sapporo, and to the Shin Furano Prince Hotel bus stop for the Lavender-go bus from Asahikawa Airport, though it must be discussed in advance during the busy months of July and August. During the winter sports season there is also a shuttle to the ski resort. Furano Ski Resort is nearby, 5 minutes away by car with the shuttle. There is parking for 4 cars, and the curfew is 11 p.m.
