Japanese-style tatami rooms also come in Single (12 sq m) and Middle Single (14 sq m) versions, laid out with a bed on the tatami floor. The large Japanese-style rooms for groups (rooms 301-305) have a maximum capacity of 8 to 12 guests, and room 302 is a connecting room joining a Japanese-style room and a Western-style room, 12 tatami mats plus 10 tatami mats. Each room has a bath and toilet, but some of the large Japanese-style rooms do not, so families are advised to check in advance.
Dining
Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet served in mahoro, the dining space on the 2nd floor, with last entry at 9:30 a.m. Along with a live kitchen where dishes are cooked in front of you, the buffet includes freshly cooked Koshihikari rice grown in Niigata Prefecture and Niigata specialties such as tare katsu (sauce-dipped pork cutlet) and hegi soba. Breakfast is 1,100 yen for elementary school children and younger, and free for children under school age. Dinner can be arranged at the hotel to suit your budget, and the hotel notes that having elementary and junior high school students eat dinner on site saves them a trip to unfamiliar places. Boxed meals can also be arranged on request.
Baths
There are separate communal baths for men and women on the first basement floor, open from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. and from 5 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Body soap, shampoo, conditioner and face soap are provided, and the communal baths have ReFa shower heads. Towels are not provided there, so bring the face towel and bath towel from your room. The baths are for staying guests only, and a dedicated key is required to use the women's communal bath.

Co-sleeping is free for up to one child who has not yet started elementary school per bed; elementary school children are not eligible.
