APA Hotel & Resort Niigata Ekimae Odori is a large hotel with 1,001 rooms, a 7-minute walk from Bandai Plaza at Niigata Station and a 2-minute walk from Rabura Bandai and Rabura 2 in the Bandai City shopping complex. One child who has not yet started elementary school stays free when co-sleeping, and in summer the reservation-only Onpo Dekamaru Pool is open to guests. Rooms range from 10 sq m singles to 33 sq m deluxe twins, and the second floor has a communal bath with an open-air bath. Diaper-changing sets and children's amenities are available to support stays with children.
Rooms
There are six room types: Single Room at 10 sq m, Double Room at 11 sq m, Twin Room at 14 sq m, Casual Twin Room at 17 sq m, Superior Twin Room at 22 sq m and Deluxe Twin Room at 33 sq m. Bed widths are one 140 cm bed in the Single and Double rooms, two 100 cm beds in the Twin, two 110 cm beds in the Casual Twin and Superior Twin, and two 120 cm beds in the Deluxe Twin. Children who have not yet started elementary school can co-sleep free of charge, up to one child, while children of elementary school age and older are charged the adult rate. There is no crib, bed guard or extra bed available, so rooms need to be chosen with co-sleeping in mind.
Dining
Breakfast can be taken at either of two venues on the first floor, LaCle or Hiroshin Beikoku. LaCle serves a Japanese and Western buffet with more than 40 items featuring Uonuma Koshihikari rice, and Hiroshin Beikoku also offers a Japanese and Western buffet of more than 40 items using Uonuma Koshihikari rice milled in-house along with produce from Niigata Prefecture. Plans that include dinner were renewed in April 2026 as the Niigata Wagyu Gozen and the Ogonbuta Sukini Gozen (a set meal of sukiyaki-style simmered pork). Numbers are limited, so guests are asked to check the plan details when booking.
Baths and Onsen
The second floor has Genyo no Yu, a large communal bath separated for men and women, with an open-air bath using semi-natural Komeiseki hot spring water (an artificial onsen). Staying guests can use it free of charge, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to midnight, with last entry 30 minutes before closing. Towels and similar items are not provided at the communal bath, so bring the towels from your room. Children who are not yet out of diapers (not yet toilet-trained) are asked to refrain from using it.

On site there is an automated multi-level parking garage for 50 cars and surface parking for 8 cars, one of which is reserved for wheelchair users; the garage is 1,500 yen per night and surface parking is 1,800 yen per night. Check-in and checkout hours are busy, roughly 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and there is no access by stairs inside the building, so using the elevators is the only option.
