The Taho-no-Yu natural onsen communal baths are women-only on the 2nd floor and men-only on the 10th floor, and the indoor baths at both are filled with water brought in from Iwamuro Onsen in Niigata Prefecture. Mixed bathing is in principle limited to children up to age 6. Co-sleeping is allowed for one child per bed, free for ages 0 to 2 and 3,000 yen for children from age 3 through elementary school. There is no pool and no childcare service; this is a business hotel where families spend their time around the communal baths, the breakfast buffet and the free late-night yonaki soba noodles.
Rooms
There are 229 rooms in total, ranging from the 12.7 sq m Compact Single Room to the 26.0 sq m Large Twin Room. The 18.0 sq m Twin Room and the Large Twin Room each have two Simmons beds. Economy (A) and Economy (B) rooms have no bath in the room and are designed around using the communal bath, so guests who want a bath in the room are directed to the Double Room.
