Nara Park Hotel is an onsen ryokan in the Horai district of Nara City. Its communal bath and open-air bath are filled with Horai Onsen, one of the few natural hot springs in the city drawn from the property's own source. Guest rooms come in two types: a non-smoking 10-tatami Japanese-style tatami room in the East Wing and a non-smoking 10-tatami plus 6-tatami Japanese-style tatami room in the West Wing. Both have two low beds, with mattress futon bedding added for parties of three or more. In summer, an outdoor pool and a children's pool are open, and the Festival Plaza on the first floor offers target shooting and yo-yo scooping. The communal bath and the open-air bath are open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and again from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. the next morning, and the sauna is available from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Guests aged 12 and over pay a bathing tax of 150 yen per night. On days when the hotel hosts group tours, the communal bath may be reserved for private use for about two hours between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m., and the exact time is decided just before the date of your stay.
