Fufu Nara is a small luxury resort within Nara Park designed by Kengo Kuma, where all 30 rooms are suites with their own natural open-air onsen bath. This small luxury resort in a corner of Nara Park was designed by Kengo Kuma and has 30 guest rooms. The Stylish Suites on the first floor are 71-75 sq m for 2 guests, available either as a studio layout or as a separate type with its own bedroom. The Comfort Suites on the second floor are also 71-75 sq m for 2 guests, in a studio layout. The Precious Suites are 77-80 sq m and sleep either 2 or 3 guests depending on the room. The Premium Corner Suites sit at the corners of the building, measure 74-82 sq m, sleep either 2 or 3 guests depending on the room, and come in studio or separate layouts. The Fufu Luxury Premium Suite, of which there are only 2 in the resort, is the largest at 121 sq m and sleeps up to 4 guests, making it well suited to families. It has 2 Simmons double beds (140 cm x 200 cm) that can be pushed together into a Hollywood twin arrangement, giving families room to spread out when co-sleeping with a child. Please request the Hollywood twin arrangement when booking. Every room has a natural open-air onsen bath.
Dining
Dinner and breakfast are served at the restaurant Tekisui, where seating is in private or semi-private rooms so guests can dine in their own separate space. Japanese cuisine is served from 6 p.m., with 8:30 p.m. the latest start time; teppanyaki is served in two seatings, at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; and the Japanese breakfast is served from 8 a.m., with 9:30 a.m. the latest start time. For children's meals, dinner can be a kids' kaiseki course (9,350 yen) or a kids' plate (5,500 yen), and breakfast a kids' set (2,200 yen). If anyone has allergies or ingredients they would rather avoid, let the resort know when booking and the kitchen will accommodate them.
Baths and Onsen
The in-room open-air baths draw simple onsen water (hypotonic, neutral, low-temperature), and a Wakan no Kaori no Yu bath additive made with Japanese and Chinese medicinal plants is also provided. As a bathing precaution, older guests, children and people with physical disabilities are advised not to bathe alone. There is also a private-hire medicinal-herb bath, bookable at 5,000 yen (tax included) for one group per 60-minute session. It is unavailable from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for cleaning. This private-hire bath is a medicinal-herb bath rather than an onsen.

Children aged 12 and under are charged a facility fee of 1,650 yen, and co-sleeping is available for up to 2 children. For co-sleeping, the rate is 16,500 yen for children in the upper grades of elementary school and 12,650 yen for those in the lower grades; for babies and toddlers, rates range from 1,650 yen to 12,650 yen depending on whether meals and bedding are included. Adding a futon as bedding costs an extra 3,300 yen. Children under 16 cannot use the on-site Spa by sisley.
Access
The nearest station, Kintetsu Nara Station, is about 5 minutes away by car, or a 20-minute walk if you come by train; there is no shuttle service. Outdoor parking has 15 spaces, free for staying guests. Valet service is also free, but only uncovered parking is available. Sagiike Pond and Ukimido Hall in Nara Park are a 5-minute walk away.
