Local Nagasaki specialties include saraudon (crisp noodles topped with a thick seafood-and-vegetable sauce), hatoshi (deep-fried shrimp toast), Chinese rice porridge and Unzen ham, alongside Kobachi Yokocho, a corner with about 20 kinds of small side dishes. Breakfast costs 2,000 yen for adults and 1,000 yen for children from age 3 through elementary school, and is free for children ages 2 and under. Because it is a buffet, the hotel does not prepare individual allergy-specific menus or dishes with particular ingredients removed, and cooking equipment and oil are shared with ingredients containing the nine specified allergens, including egg, wheat and shrimp. If anyone in your family has an allergy, it is best to consult the hotel in advance. A free serving of yonaki soba (late-night noodles) is also offered from 9:30 to 11 p.m. in the third-floor restaurant.
Baths
The separate men's and women's communal bath Dejima no Yu on the third floor has an indoor bath filled with ultra-soft water, a microbubble silky bath, a cold-water bath and a high-temperature dry sauna with a TV. It is open from 3 p.m. until 10 a.m. the following morning, although the sauna alone is closed from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. A children's bath set is kept in the communal bath. As a rule, mixed bathing is permitted only up to age 6. Bringing towels into the tubs and wearing swimsuits are not allowed, and as a rule guests with tattoos may not bathe.
Family-friendly features
Co-sleeping is free for children ages 0 to 2, while children from age 3 through elementary school pay 3,000 yen for up to one child per bed; junior high school students and older pay the adult rate. The number of children who can co-sleep also depends on the room type: up to one child in a Double Room with one bed, and up to two children in a Twin Room with two beds. Baby chairs are available free of charge in the restaurant, though the number is limited. Children's loungewear and slippers are also provided. The amenity booth beside the third-floor front desk includes a children's amenity shelf stocked with items such as cooling shampoo and body soap (the cooling pillow is available in summer only). Cribs for babies, however, are not available. On some plans, the usual 11 a.m. checkout can be extended to 12 noon, leaving more time to get ready in the morning.
Access
The hotel is about a 2-minute walk from the Shinchi Chinatown tram stop, and about a 5-minute walk from the Nagasaki Shinchi Terminal stop on the airport bus from Nagasaki Airport. By car, it is about 2 minutes from Nagasaki IC via the Dejima Toll Road. There is no dedicated parking, so guests use one of three affiliated parking lots nearby: Times Doza-machi Parking, Trust Park Doza and Reference Doza Park. Vehicle height and width limits and rates differ at each lot.
