Overview
Munbu Stay Higawahama is a hotel that opened in July 2024 in the Higawa district of Yonaguni Island. It stands right next to the filming location for the popular drama Dr. Koto's Clinic, with a beach spreading out in front of it. Guest rooms are 16.2 sq m Suite Twins, each a standalone building with a shower and toilet, and the accommodation plans include children's rates. A free shuttle runs from Yonaguni Airport, and dinner is served at Yonaguni Munbu Kitchen in front of the airport, with shuttle transport included.

Guest rooms are Suite Twins with either an ocean view or a garden view, each a standalone building of 16.2 sq m with a shower and toilet. There are 6 rooms in total, accommodating 1 to 2 guests, and children's rates are available. Each room has Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, a hair dryer, a toilet with a washlet function, amenities such as shampoo and body soap, bath towels, and an electric kettle available to borrow. Breakfast can be picked up at the hotel reception building each morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. If you would like breakfast, you need to book a plan that includes it, or else request it separately through the application form or by telling a staff member at check-in. Dinner is served at Yonaguni Munbu Kitchen in front of Yonaguni Airport, with a free shuttle from Higawahama. Some breakfast-included plans offer pork tamago onigiri, an Okinawan soul food, handed over as a takeout item that you can take back to your room or onto the plane.

The front desk is not staffed 24 hours, and no staff are on site after 7 p.m., so please check in by 7 p.m. Parking for 4 cars is available free of charge, with no reservation required. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets on the island; the Higawa community co-op store is a 5-minute walk away. No cancellation fee applies if your flight or ferry is canceled due to bad weather. You can also extend your stay if no other guests have a booking.
