Munbu Stay Airport is about a 2-minute walk from Yonaguni Airport, with guest rooms that each stand in their own separate building. Every building has its own modern interior, and the 16.2 sq m rooms have one queen bed and a shower. Some plans come with child rates, and families can join an island sightseeing tour from age 3 or a kuba folk-craft workshop from age 6. A free shuttle timed to your flight's arrival also takes some of the strain out of traveling with children.
Rooms
Each guest room stands in its own completely separate building, and every building has a different modern interior. There are two room types, Comfort Queen and Superior Queen. Both have one queen bed, measure 16.2 sq m, come with a shower and sleep 1 to 2 guests. Some plans come with child rates. The rooms have no toilet and no television; guests use the shared toilets in the management building. Each room has a refrigerator and a hair dryer, and Wi-Fi is available. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath towels and face towels are provided, along with single-use toothbrushes, hairbrushes and razors.
Dining
Breakfast is handed out at the hotel reception building every morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. If you would like breakfast, either book a plan that includes it or request it separately, using the application form or by telling the staff at check-in. Dinner is served at Yonaguni Island Munbu Kitchen, the restaurant attached to the hotel. What you get depends on your dinner-inclusive plan, with options such as Agu pork shabu-shabu, shabu-shabu of marlin from Yonaguni Island, and an island barbecue.
Baths
Every room has its own shower room. No communal bath or onsen is listed, so bathing is done in the shower in your room.
Family-Friendly Features
Several plans come with child rates. The plan with an island sightseeing tour is open to guests from age 3, and the plan with a kuba folk-craft workshop is open to guests from age 6. Because each room is a separate building, your family has a private space all to yourselves. Two things are worth knowing in advance: the rooms have no toilet, so you will use the shared toilets in the management building, and the front desk accepts arrivals only until 7 p.m.
Access
The hotel is about a 2-minute walk from Yonaguni Airport, and free parking is available for about 10 cars. From 3 p.m., when check-in opens, a free shuttle timed to flight arrivals is available at all properties. If you are not using advance check-in or the shuttle, check in at the Munbu Terrace reception building right in front of the airport. At checkout, simply leave the key in your room; there is no need to stop at reception. Yonaguni Island has no convenience stores or supermarkets, and there are no shops within walking distance of this airport-front location either.
