Munbu Stay Airport is about a 2-minute walk from Yonaguni Airport, with guest rooms in fully separate buildings. Each building has its own modern interior, and the 16.2 sq m rooms have one queen bed and a shower. Plans with child rates are available, the island sightseeing tour is open to guests from age 3, and the kuba folk-craft workshop is open to guests from age 6. A free shuttle timed to flight arrivals also helps keep travel with children easier.
Rooms
Each guest room is a completely separate building, and the modern interiors differ from one building to the next. There are two room types, Comfort Queen and Superior Queen; both have one queen bed, measure 16.2 sq m, come with a shower, and sleep 1 to 2 guests. Plans with child rates are available. The rooms have no toilet and no television, so guests use the shared toilets in the management building. Each room has a refrigerator and a hair dryer, and Wi-Fi is available. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath towels and face towels are provided, along with single-use toothbrushes, hairbrushes and razors.
Dining
Breakfast is handed out at the hotel reception building every morning from 8 to 10 a.m. If you would like breakfast, you need to book a plan that includes it, or request it separately through the application form or by telling the staff at check-in. Dinner is served at Yonaguni Island Munbu Kitchen, the restaurant attached to the hotel. The menu differs by dinner-inclusive plan and includes Agu pork shabu-shabu, shabu-shabu made with swordfish from Yonaguni Island, and island barbecue.
Baths
Every room has its own shower room. There is no information on a communal bath or onsen, so bathing is done using the shower in your room.
Family-Friendly Points
Several plans with child rates are available. The plan that includes the island sightseeing tour is open to guests from age 3, and the plan that includes the kuba folk-craft workshop is open to guests from age 6. Because each room is a separate building, families can spend their time in a private space of their own. Two things are worth knowing in advance: the rooms have no toilet, so guests use the shared toilets in the management building, and the front desk is open for reception until 7 p.m.
Access
The hotel is about a 2-minute walk from Yonaguni Airport, with free parking for about 10 cars. From the 3 p.m. check-in time onward, a free shuttle timed to flight arrivals is available at all of the group's properties. If you are not using advance check-in or the shuttle, you complete check-in at the Munbu Terrace reception building right in front of the airport. At checkout you can leave the key in the room and go, with no need to stop at reception. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets on Yonaguni Island, and this airport-front location has no shops within walking distance either.
