Overview

MIMARU Tokyo Shinjuku West is an apartment hotel where every room has a kitchen and a dining table. Rooms are 40-60 sq m and sleep either 4 or 6 guests, and you can choose rooms with a bunk bed or Japanese-Western rooms with tatami. Cribs and bed guards can be borrowed free of charge, though numbers are limited. There is no meal service, onsen or pool, so meals are something you prepare yourself in the room's kitchen or bring in.

Rooms

Every room has a kitchen and a dining table, and there are 5 room types. The rooms for up to 4 guests are the 40 sq m Family Apartment, with 2 single beds and 1 bunk bed; the 42 sq m Japanese Apartment, with 2 single beds and 2 sets of futon bedding; and the 40 sq m Apartment (4 Singles), with 4 single beds. The rooms for up to 6 guests are the 58 sq m Superior 1-Bedroom Apartment (6 Singles), with 6 single beds, and the 60 sq m Deluxe Japanese Apartment, a Japanese-Western room with 2 single beds, 2 sets of futon bedding and 1 bunk bed. The Japanese Apartment and the Deluxe Japanese Apartment both have tatami. In the Family Apartment, two of the beds are 100 cm wide and one is 97 cm wide. Up to 2 children aged 6 and under per room are not counted in the number of guests, so the 4-person rooms can take 4 adults plus 2 children, and the 6-person rooms 6 adults plus 2 children. Children aged 7 and over count as adults. According to notes on Rakuten Travel's accommodation plans, guests are asked to make up the futons and sofa beds themselves, so in the Japanese Apartment and Deluxe Japanese Apartment, which have futons, you lay them out yourself. Specific room layouts cannot be requested. Every room has a humidifying air purifier, and all rooms are non-smoking.

Dining

There is no meal service at the hotel, and the room plans on sale do not include breakfast or dinner. The kitchen in every room has an induction cooktop, tableware, cutlery, a refrigerator, a microwave, an electric kettle, a two-handled pot, a saucepan, a frying pan, a kitchen knife, a cutting board and more, and items such as a toaster, a rice cooker and a hot plate are available to borrow. You can boil water for baby formula in the room's electric kettle. You are also free to bring in delivery or takeout food. For guests with food allergies, the hotel points to matoil, an outside service that delivers allergy-friendly frozen meals; hotel staff receive the delivered meals and keep them in your room's refrigerator. You order directly from matoil, at least 1 month before your stay. Information on children's tableware and chairs is not listed in our information.

Bath

Every room has a separate bath and toilet. The bathroom has a washing area, a bathtub long enough to stretch out your legs, and a separate washbasin. Thanks to the washing area, you can wash your child outside the tub. There is no onsen and no pool.
