Hyatt Regency Tokyo is a city hotel in a convenient spot, a 9-minute walk from the West Exit of Shinjuku Station and a 1-minute walk from Tochomae Station. The guest rooms were extensively renovated in 2025, and the range runs from a standard room with a single king bed to rooms that sleep 3 or 4 guests using a sofa bed. Children aged 12 and under stay free of charge when sharing a room with an adult, and children who co-sleep must still be included in the number of guests when booking. There is no communal bath or onsen, and the pool has closed, so facilities aimed at children are limited.
Rooms
A major renovation was completed in 2025, and the hotel has 712 rooms across 17 types. The standard King (floors 10-16, fully renovated, shower only) is 28 sq m with one king bed, sleeps up to 2 adults, and no extra bed is available. The 33 sq m Deluxe City View King has one king bed plus a sofa bed, so up to 3 adults can stay when the sofa bed is used. The 48 sq m Studio Park View King can likewise sleep up to 4 adults with the sofa bed, giving families a choice of room types that suit them.
Dining
Breakfast is served buffet-style at the restaurant Crossroads Kitchen from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Room service is available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., which helps on days when heading out with a small child is difficult. On plans that include breakfast, breakfast is also free of charge for children aged 12 and under sharing a room with an adult (only on those plans).
Baths
There is no onsen, communal bath or private-hire bath, so bathing is in the bathroom in your own room. The standard King (floors 10-16, fully renovated, shower only) has a shower and no bathtub, so guests who want a tub need to choose a room type that has one, such as the City View King (floors 21-23, partly renovated, with bathtub).
Family-friendly features

The fitness gym is limited to guests aged 16 and over, and the spa Joule is likewise limited to guests aged 16 and over, or 13 and over when accompanied by a guardian, so young children cannot use these facilities. There is no indoor or outdoor pool; the pool closed at the end of March 2021. Childcare services are not offered either, so if you are looking for a play space or somewhere to leave your children, please check in advance.

The hotel is a 1-minute walk from Exit A7 of Tochomae Station on the Toei Oedo Line, and about a 9-minute walk from the West Exit of JR Shinjuku Station. A free shuttle bus runs between the West Exit of Shinjuku Station and the hotel every 20 minutes, taking about 5 minutes; no reservation is needed and seats are first-come, first-served. Parking has space for 415 vehicles, and staying guests pay 1,500 yen for 24 hours from the time of entry. The front-entrance side has a vehicle height limit of 2.1 m, so it is worth checking before you set off if you are driving.
