Maiko Glamping is a glamping site on the same grounds as the Maiko Kogen Hotel. The 2026 season runs from April 25 to October 11. The dome tents of about 28 sq m and the bell tents of about 20 sq m each sleep up to 4 guests, and every tent has its own outdoor living area and fire pit alongside it. Dinner is a course meal served in that outdoor living area, and breakfast is a buffet at the restaurant on the 2nd floor of the hotel. The tents have no bath or toilet: toilets and washbasins are in the shared center house, and bathing is at the onsen communal bath of the adjacent hotel. Accommodation charges apply from age 3, and staying by co-sleeping is not possible.
Rooms
Each guest room is a freestanding tent. The dome tents are about 28 sq m and come with heating and cooling air conditioning and a refrigerator. The bell tents are about 20 sq m and are fitted with a portable air conditioner. Both sleep up to 4 guests, and when 3 or 4 people use a bell tent, a sofa bed is used. The outdoor living area beside each tent is about 12-16 sq m and has a private fire bowl, plus a garden sofa with the dome tents and a hammock and cooler box with the bell tents. There is an AC power outlet inside the tent, but because of the power supply you cannot use a hair dryer or a hair straightener; for a hair dryer, use the ones in the changing room of the Maiko Kogen Hotel communal bath. No nightwear such as pajamas is provided, so you will need to bring your own, including for children. The tents have no bath or toilet, and the toilets and washing area are in the shared center house, which means walking outside if you need the toilet during the night. As this is an outdoor facility, it is reassuring to bring insect repellent, sunscreen and wet wipes.

Dinner is an outdoor dinner served in the outdoor living area beside your tent, with a kids' plate for elementary school children and for young children aged 3 and over. Only elementary school children can switch to the same menu as the adults for an additional 1,500 yen, requested when you book. Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet at the restaurant on the 2nd floor of the adjacent Maiko Kogen Hotel. That restaurant has a range of children's tableware and dining bibs, children's chairs and baby racks, and it also stocks baby food for 5-month-olds and 7-month-olds. Baby food you bring yourself can be warmed if you ask the restaurant staff or the front desk. Numbers of all of these are limited.
