Dining
Meals are served in a private dining room built in the sukiya style. The Japanese set-course dinner includes shabu-shabu made with Nikko Himitsu Buta pork and salt-grilled river fish, and breakfast is a Japanese set meal in a private dining room. On some plans, children under school age are served a kids' meal. If anyone has a food allergy, letting the ryokan know when booking, no later than 3 days in advance, allows them to prepare dishes with efforts made to remove the allergen, though complete removal is not guaranteed.
Baths and Onsen
The hotel's own spring source, Hagoromo no Yu, is an alkaline simple onsen that is gentle on the skin. The gorge-side communal bath looks out over the Kinugawa scenery, and in the open-air bath you can soak while feeling the breeze coming up the valley. Staying guests can bathe from check-in until 10 a.m. the next morning, apart from the cleaning period between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Children of elementary school age and older are asked to refrain from mixed bathing, so there are limits on bathing together as a family in the communal bath.
