Rooms
There are 25 rooms in total, all non-smoking. The most affordable room type is a Japanese-style tatami room without a bath, ranging from 8 to 10 tatami mats and accommodating 1-7 guests. The most popular room in the ryokan, the Standard Modern Japanese-style tatami room, has 8 tatami mats plus a 4-mat raised area finished in Ryukyu tatami, with a bath and toilet, for 1-7 guests. The Modern Japanese-Western room on the top floor has 8 tatami mats plus a bed space, with a bath and toilet, for 1-7 guests. The Special Room, of which there is only one, consists of connected rooms of 12.5 and 7 tatami mats with a bath and toilet, and accommodates 1-8 guests, so it suits larger family groups. The General Room is 10 tatami mats with a bath and toilet, for 1-5 guests. From April 20 to November 30, the Torokko sightseeing train can be seen from every room.
Dining
Dinner is a kaiseki course, and you can choose among five grades: Matsu, Take, Ume, White Shrimp, and Small-Portion kaiseki. A private dining room can be reserved in advance for an extra 1,100 yen per person, tax included. For children's meals, children charged at 70% of the adult rate receive a course based on the adult kaiseki, while children charged at 50% of the adult rate and children booked for meals only receive a kids' meal with chicken rice, Hamburg steak, fried prawns and other favorites. You may bring your own baby food; if it needs warming, ask the front desk staff and they will take care of it. Allergies can be accommodated, but this must be discussed in advance and cannot be arranged on the day of your stay.

From Kurobe-Unazukionsen Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, transfer to the Toyama Chiho Railway for a ride of about 25 minutes. Unazuki Ski Resort is about a 10-minute walk away, which is handy in winter for families who want to play in the snow.
