Overview
Green Park Santo is an outdoor complex at the foot of Mount Ibuki in Maibara, Shiga, where families can camp, barbecue and play on the play equipment before spending the night at Kamoikeso or the Forest Villa. Some of Kamoikeso's Japanese-style tatami rooms have a bath and toilet, and the rooms sleep up to 5 guests, while the Forest Villa, rented as a whole building, sleeps up to 8 including co-sleeping children who have not yet started elementary school. The communal bath Bihada no Yu has no private-hire bath, but the changing rooms have diaper-changing tables and the washing area has baby chairs, and the restaurant offers a children's menu and high chairs.
Rooms
Kamoikeso's guest rooms are Japanese-style tatami rooms: 10-tatami rooms without a bath or toilet for up to 5 guests, and 10-tatami rooms with a combined bath-and-toilet unit, also for up to 5 guests. The rooms with a bath and toilet are on the south side of the second floor, where large windows frame the scenery of each season. Altogether there is one room for 4 guests and six rooms for 5 guests, accommodating up to 34 guests in total. Only 2 rooms have a combined bath-and-toilet unit; the shared toilets are just outside in the corridor. Every room has a washbasin, and a hair dryer is provided. The Forest Villa, a whole-house rental that opened in 2024, is 84 sq m with a bath and toilet and has 8 semi-double beds measuring 122 cm by 203 cm, which can be moved and pushed together. It also has a kitchen and cooking utensils, but no bed guards are available. Up to 8 guests of elementary school age and older can stay, and the limit is also 8 when children who have not yet started elementary school are co-sleeping.
Dining
The restaurant Shabeno on the first floor of Kamoikeso serves a menu built around regional ingredients from Shiga Prefecture. For children there is a kids' udon set and a kids' fried chicken set, and at dinner on accommodation plans a kids' set is prepared for preschool-age children, with lower-grade elementary school children also able to switch to a kids' set. The restaurant has a few high chairs as well.
Baths
The communal bath Bihada no Yu is not an onsen: the water is passed through a water softener and finished as a simple sodium spring. It has an indoor bath, an open-air bath looking out at Mount Ibuki, a high-temperature sauna and a cold-water bath, but there is no private-hire bath or family bath. For guests staying at Kamoikeso the bathing fee is included in the room rate, and they can use the bath as often as they like from check-in to checkout, with evening use until 11 p.m. Pregnant guests and babies are not restricted from bathing, but the water is hot and the tiles are slippery, so please take care.

Both the men's and women's changing rooms have diaper-changing tables, and the washing area has baby chairs and children's chairs. The complex is easy to reach: 35 minutes from Nagoya, 65 minutes from Kyoto and 85 minutes from Osaka. By car it is about 15 minutes from the Sekigahara, Nagahama or Maibara interchanges. By train, take the Ohmi Railway / Kokoku Bus from JR Omi-Nagaoka Station and arrive in about 8 minutes; guests staying at Kamoikeso can use a dedicated shuttle from JR Omi-Nagaoka Station. Parking is available for 300 cars and 3 large buses.
