Dogo Onsen Taniya is a small inn of just 6 rooms, a 1-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station. Meals are served in the private dining rooms of Takeshi, and for preschool-age children, sashimi or grilled fish can be prepared separately on request. Rooms
This is a small inn with just 6 rooms, and the only one with its own indoor bath is the detached Hatsuko. Built in the style of a two-story wooden villa, it has a tea room on the first floor along with a study looking out onto the garden, and a private tub bath at the back. The bedroom is on the second floor, and the room sleeps up to 5 guests. Shirasagi, on the first floor of the main building, is a spacious 20-tatami room built with few changes in floor level, and it accommodates up to 6 guests. The second floor of the main building has three rooms for up to 3 guests each, made up of an 8-tatami living area and a loft bedroom, as well as Teiregi, for up to 2 guests, with a 4-tatami living area and a loft bedroom; because there are many stairs up to its bedroom, the inn notes that Teiregi is better suited to younger guests.
Dining
Meals are served in the six semi-private rooms of the private dining area Takeshi. Dinner runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with the last start at 7:30 p.m., and breakfast from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The dishes feature fish from the Seto Inland Sea and home-grown vegetables, and breakfast comprises 25 items. Children of elementary school age and older pay the same rate as adults and are served the same meal; there is no dedicated children's menu. For preschool-age children, sashimi or grilled fish can sometimes be prepared separately, so you are welcome to discuss this with the inn in advance.

Taniya has no communal bath. Instead, all three of its baths - Yuhime, Yuyama and Yuzuki - are used as private-hire baths. They are fed by 100% piped Dogo Onsen water flowing straight from the source, and you can use them free of charge as often as you like during your stay whenever they are free. The spring water is an alkaline simple onsen. Since all three indoor baths are for private-hire use, you never share them with other guests, which makes them easy to use with small children. Guests staying in the detached Hatsuko can also use its private indoor bath, for up to 4 baths in all when combined with the private-hire baths.

The inn is about a 1-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station on the Iyotetsu railway. It is about 20 minutes by car from the Matsuyama or Kawauchi interchange on the Matsuyama Expressway, and about 30 minutes from Matsuyama Airport to Dogo Station by airport bus. There is parking for 7 cars in front of and behind the building; no reservation is needed and the charge is 700 yen per car (500 yen until September 2025).
