For families with young children there is a 51 sq m dedicated Welcome Baby room in the East Wing, with a hinoki cypress bath, a washlet toilet, a television and a refrigerator; it can be booked on a plan with either in-room dining or dining-room meals.

Dinner is a kaiseki course featuring Yamagata beef and seafood from the Sea of Japan, and breakfast is a generous Japanese-style set meal made with Tsuyahime rice from Shonai. For children, a kids' meal (3,850 yen) with dishes such as soft, creamy omurice and fried prawns is served at dinner, and baby food (1,100 yen) can be chosen from three textures: pureed, 5 mm dice and 1 cm dice. Baby food must be reserved by 3 days before your stay. On the in-room dining plan for the Welcome Baby room, meals are served in your room, so you can eat without worrying about other guests if your child gets fussy or moves around.
