Travel tips
Osaka has a well-developed rail network, and trains are the main way to get around the city. Families tend to make many trips, so it helps to have an IC card (a rechargeable prepaid transit card) for each person. The standard Osaka Metro fare for 1 zone (3 km or less) is 190 yen for adults and 100 yen for children. The Osaka Metro Chuo Line is convenient for getting to Kaiyukan (Osaka Aquarium), and you can board it at this station too.
Best season
Because this is an underground station, using it does not depend on the season. Osaka has many indoor attractions and can be enjoyed all year round. Spring and autumn have mild weather, which makes outdoor sightseeing comfortable. Summers are hot and humid, so mixing in indoor spots makes things easier, and in winter an itinerary centered on indoor activities works well.
Getting there
The nearest bus stop is Sakaisuji-Hommachi, served by the Osaka Bus Midosuji Line (Routes 1 and 3, bound for Osaka Station). The adjacent stations are Hommachi Station and Tanimachi 4-chome Station on the Chuo Line, and Kitahama Station and Nagahoribashi Station on the Sakaisuji Line.
