About Namba Station
Namba Station is a Nankai Electric Railway station in Chuo Ward, Osaka. It is a terminal served by the Nankai Main Line and the Koya Line. As the gateway to Minami, Osaka's lively entertainment and shopping district, it sits near the southern end of Midosuji, the city's main boulevard. The station building, Nankai Building, houses the Takashimaya Osaka department store, and Swissotel Nankai Osaka, Namba SkyO, Namba CITY, and Namba Parks are all directly connected to the station. North of the station, the busy districts of Dotonbori and Sennichimae spread out.

Travel tips
Choosing a ticket gate based on your destination makes getting around easier. The North Gate is busy all day, while the South Gate is quieter than the other gates and is open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Rapi:t limited express tickets can be bought at the ticket gate windows or at ticket machines, but the machines only sell tickets for the next train and only from 20 minutes before departure. Tickets are not sold when the train is full.
Best season
The station is directly connected to shopping complexes and has many indoor places to spend time, so it is an easy base to use all year round. Summers in Osaka are hot and humid, so it is more comfortable to stay mostly indoors and drink water often. Spring and fall have mild weather, and winter suits an itinerary focused on indoor activities.
Getting there
Through the underground malls Namba Walk and NAMBA Nan-Nan, you can transfer to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, Yotsubashi Line, and Sennichimae Line, and to Kintetsu and Hanshin Osaka Namba Station. It takes about 12 to 15 minutes on foot to reach JR Namba Station.
