Nearly every room is a generous 53 sq m or more. The Standard Japanese-style tatami room has 10 tatami mats plus 6 tatami mats and sleeps 2 to 8 guests; the Standard Japanese-Western room has 10 tatami mats plus twin beds and sleeps 2 to 6 guests; and the Standard New Japanese-Western room has a tatami area plus twin beds and sleeps 2 to 4 guests. There are only 4 Japanese-Western rooms, so booking early is the safer course. In the Japanese-Western room, futon bedding for 4 can be laid out in the 10-tatami area, which together with the twin beds makes it a room for up to 6. In the New Japanese-Western room, futon bedding for 2 can be laid out in the tatami area, which together with the twin beds makes it a room for up to 4. The tatami areas are roomy enough that small children have space to roll around and play. Rooms come with air conditioning and heating, a television, a shower, a toilet with a washing function, a refrigerator and a hair dryer. A humidifier is available to borrow. The whole property is non-smoking, and every guest room is non-smoking as well. Because almost all guests use the communal bath, the en-suite bathrooms are not stocked with body soap, shampoo or conditioner; if you need them, ask at the front desk. If you are traveling with children and plan to use the bathroom in your room, this is worth knowing before you arrive.
